Bhujodi Desi Wool Blankets – Handwoven Heritage from Kutch

Steeped in tradition and crafted with care, our Bhujodi wool blankets are handwoven by master artisans in Bhujodi, Kutch, using traditional Desi wool from the Rabari tribe, the region’s iconic semi-nomadic pastoralists. Known for its rugged durability and natural warmth, Desi wool has been used for generations to create blankets that stand the test of time.

A Craft Born of Tradition

The Bhujodi weaving tradition began as a symbiotic relationship between the Rabari herders and local weavers, where artisans wove blankets from Rabari wool in exchange for raw fleece. Today, we honor this heritage by working directly with our friend Mandan and his family, ensuring each Desi blanket is ethically traded and sourced straight from the artisans who craft them.

Raw, Untamed Wool

  • Woven from authentic Rabari  sheep’s wool, these blankets are tough, textured, and built to last, ideal for those who appreciate raw, natural fibers in their purest form.
  • Naturally insulating, these blankets provide warmth without synthetic additives.
  • Each piece carries the distinctive handwoven patterns and earthy tones that define Bhujodi textiles.

Sustainable & Ethical

Made using time-honored techniques and locally sourced materials, every Desi wool blanket supports indigenous craftsmanship, traditional livelihoods, and the preservation of an ancient way of life.
